Read about MelloIRMG

He might have earned his name from a blunt paper pack donning the same name. But please don’t get it twisted, the Swiss man they call Mello is far from mellow. He is couting himself to "Swiss Rapper" artists although he’s writing his songs in english. It was his insatiable hunger to succeed and vicious approach on the mic that caught the eye of industry insiders.

A true hustler by any standards. Mello might have been born and raised in Switzerland but endured far from a fairy-tale upbringing. Abandoned by his mother at a young age and ostracized by the community. He did everything a ‘lost’ teenager would do to survive. From creating mixtape covers, being a plug between different artists and producers to doing things he’d rather not disclose. It was a harsh time what made Mello who he is today. When In 2009 he found his own independent record label named "Ice Runnerz Music Group". In cooperation with four of his friends the "Ice Runnerz" were known in the scene very quickly. After some years of moving around and performing at different venues the group dissolved. But Mello did not want to give up on building the brand. "We lost too many tears for this", is what he said when asked. In summer 2016 he gave the label an update. It went from the "Ice Runnerz" to "IRMG". It got a new logo and new vibe. Since then Mello also changed his artist name to MelloIRMG to push the brand to new spheres.

Not content with staying within the boundaries of the Swiss market, Mello took to the social networks to broaden his horizons. Connecting with a vast array of artists from Sean Paul, Jadakiss, Vado, Ace Hood, Steve Lobel, Berner, Rae Sremmurd and many more. Also MelloIRMG had the opportunity to collaborate on his "Block Boy" record with New York legend Fred The Godson who sadly passed away 2020 due Covid-19. As a Swiss rapper he quickly became a ‘feature favorite’ for State side rappers. He always felt a different way in many aspects than most of the people he met. The way Mello thinks and moves is very uncommon in a lof of eyes. He wants to spread positivity and motivation. He´s inspired by an extensive array of american artists, but also listents to Swiss rappers. "Talent and good music comes from different parts of the world you can´t deny the vibes".

When asked about what the next steps are, Mello leans further in his leather director’s chair, displays the same cocky smile that sends females of all age groups swooning, and then says “It’s going to get real crazy, that I promise you”.
